Several times recognized as Germany's most beautiful hiking trail, it leads through this landscape over a total of 115 km. The diversity and uniqueness of nature opens up to the hiker and leads to the most important sights and most beautiful viewpoints of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. The "Malerweg" is natural hiking romance. Benefiting from a dense network of public transport, you can hike on sections and easily come back to the starting point.
Since our house is located directly on the Elbe Cycle Path, a bike tour along the Elbe Valley is ideal. Cycle, where Saxony is most beautiful. Past many sights of Saxon Switzerland, the cycle path takes you through idyllic places like Pirna, Pillnitz Castle to Dresden.
It doesn´t matter if you want to be active in sports or just enjoy the culture, our area offers a wide range of options. Saxon Switzerland and the Saxon Elbland are famous not only for their impressive landscape, but also for their diverse culture and world-famous art treasures. You can hardly find any other area in Germany with so many historical buildings art, culture and museums in such a small area as this region around the Saxon state capital.
